The lifecycle of a ChromeOS version is 4 weeks and you need to be using the latest version in order to receive security updates.

The latest Stable version is 131, released on December 3rd 2024.

The next Stable version is 132, released on January 14th 2025.

Versions of ChromeOS fall out of support on the Auto Update Expiration date. See the links below for details.

How to check your version :

  1. Click the status area at the lower-right of the bottom of the screen.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click About Chrome OS.

  4. Chrome OS version will be listed.
