Operating systems must be supported by the vendor which means regular security updates must be provided in order to fix security issues.

The latest version of iOS and iPadOS is 17.1.1, released 07 Nov 2023.
Update policy : Security updates are provided for iOS 15, 16 and 17. Devices need to have updated to the latest version within 14 days to stay compliant.

How to check your version :
Press the Menu button multiple times until the main menu appears.
Select Settings > About.
The software version of your device should appear on this screen.

iOS 16.7.2 released 25th October 2023 - install by 8th November to remain compliant
iOS 15.8 released 25th October 2023 - install by 8th November to remain complaint
