  • Operating systems must be supported by the vendor which means regular security updates must be provided in order to fix security issues.

  • Whilst every effort is made to provide the most up-to-date information, you should always check the vendor site for the support status of your particular operating system.

Apple provide support for three years for each operating system, after which it will no longer receive security updates.

Sequoia, Sonoma and Ventura currently receive security updates.

Monterey is no longer supported and no longer receives security updates.

By default, MacOS downloads and installs updates automatically. Check that automatic updates are enabled.
